Jah High Shent

Botón

Jah High Shent was born in Kingston Jamaica.
He grew up in different communities around St. Thomas. meeting    diverse people, playing football, listening to Bob Marley, Dennis Brown and Alton Ellis on the radio;

Singing at school and in his community was one of the things he most likes to do.  When High Shent was living in Middleton, he won his first sing contest at Blue Maho beach where he wrote his first song at the age of 12, from that time, music took control of his life bringing him happiness and made him proud to hold up the banner of his mother Maureen Pearson who is one of Jamaica's woman known veteran in the reggae music genre.

He started playing a sound system when he was going to high school, wining sound clashes.
His first song, "Oh mama" was recorded at DSide studio in 1995 in Trelawny but it wouldn't be until years after, that his first single would be ready.
"Rasta around town" was written ten years ago supporting the rasta doctrine, culture, and community. It talks about Rastafari with love, peace, and respect.

This song was recorded after he migrated to Mexico and got hooked up with B4Music where they produced a few songs for him, shaka met former producer Morris Porter who now has his beat making production called MouriceProduction, he liked a couple of beats and ask his Producer Mardon Brown if they could work with him. This idea was very good, here was where the single "Crooked Mind" was recorded on the "Chile Peper Riddim".

Living colors a just The High Shent with fire!
