Carl Balliston

Born 1957 in a little town called Morant Bay.

Carl went to the Morant Bay basic school where he graduated to the Morant by all age.

He stared out his carier as an artist involving in school activities werein he stared sing, dancing and drama participating in a drama group . During the same time he was active with his godmother specialy known as church mother who was the church's organist and guitarist at the time.

At the age 25 Carl was now taking his musical carier very serious where he started his journey with his cousin called Winston Slikers, a famosly know artist for "Johnny you too bad" the song made a hit in the late 70's and still is one the worlds most favorit reggae song. During his time, he played in events across jamaica and growed rapidly to a standard among some of the best and famous artise in wich he started to shear or open the stages with. eg. Dennis Brown, Gregory Issac, We the people band, Bush Man, Capleton, Lady Saw, Morgan's Heritage, Fab five and Unick Vision Paul Eliot, Frankie Paul, Carl Bradshaw.

Sommer hype, Club Resistable, Cultural Roots Mexco, Cayman fest Grand Cayman, Jerk Festival Portland, Casa Rasta Mexico, Veracruz Carnaval Mexico, Kaya Bar Mexico, Hard Rock Cafe Mexico, Reggae Camp 2007 Mexico, Kings Pub Mexico, Pata Negra bar Mexico and others.

His expierence never stoped there he continued with Slikers all over jamaica performing in some of the most beknown shows of there time's and recording together in deferent recording studios.
In his late Carl traveled to England and then to Cayman.

By 2000 Carl Balliston was called Carl Slikers and growing in the world of music with other artist and musicians all over through his endever, they recorded a CD called "Angel of love" witch was doing well.

In 2007 Balliston then took the challenge and accepted the offer from Alfonso Walker to work in Mexico in a Beknowned night club called the "CASA RASTA" own by Mr David Saft. The contract ended 2008 where Carl traveled back to jamaica after a good experience in the Latin world.

In 2011 Carl decided to return to Mexico to work with B4Muzik Records Producers wherein Mr. Lance Brown and Mr. Morris Porter record his second album in Mexico called "The Ska Train", the cd consist of 13 songs of pure ska Jamaica tradition.

An excellent singer who gave all his life and energy into music, he went from Jamaica to England then latter got invited to mexico where he continued his musical carrier.

Carl grew in mexico over the years and did his first Cd then the second and then the third, Morris Porter was one of his favorite producers who wrote and produces most of his songs. RIP
